I just want to say that when I posted the quote of Sw. Brahmananda concerning pranayama I had not read your Kabir question yet. Hence there is no connection or secret intention between the two. Found your question just now, but don't know the answer either.

Kabir, like Ramalinga, seems to have scorned all holy traditions and made it a sport to disrespect them before the eyes of the public. He refused to die in his birthplace Benares - the traditional place where dying people make their final pilgrimage in the hope of getting liberated. I would like to learn about his pranayama practice, too.
