Thanks norman, I didn't check up on this for a long time.

So we have four versions now: The 1980 'Sunburst' first edition (from which Ketch has been quoting extensively), the 1984 'Christ Consciousness' second edition, a third one from 1994 (which I own), and now the fourth and latest one from 2001.

Altogether one would have to study 2,000 pages plus to know the exact content of all editions of the book. I admit that for a 100% reliable survey it would be necessary to obtain all four books and also most of Paulsen's other writings, but I doubt that anyone of us will really make the effort and that it's a worthwhile undertaking.

I notice that the new edition runs for 528 pages as opposed to the xxxii + 496 = 528 pages of the previous one published seven years before. I wonder if there is any new content except a new preface and some minor corrections.

The 1994 edition had been out of print for some time and as the book has understandably gotten much in demand since the arrival of Internet a new edition was overdue anyway. Seems as if Paulsen has nothing new to say and lost interest in writing.
