I had the grace of spiritual realization at age 25, during childbirth, while all my
being was concentrated on saving the baby's life. I can recall in details what occurred before or after transcendence (I was completely detached from body and mind - and even jumped into the void). I became aware of the centrality of the divine presence in spiritual life and felt the Truth-Consciousness and the liveliness of spirit within the Infinite and the Absolute. In short, divinity was felt from within. The impact of the spiritual encounter was such that I had to study Psychology (B.A, M.S, Ph.D) just to formulate an explanation. What bothers me is that the spiritual encounter has never recurred again. I am writing a book "The challenge of Being". I am now 80 years of age. Could a
spiritual encounter happen randomly once in a lifetime? I looked at it as a
spontaneous, natural event.
