Beleifs are false in the sense that they are adopted hearsay truths from other sources, not ones own.

Are they good or bad? That is dependent upon what a person needs at a particular time.

As far as catholic saints go. I believe those folks would tell you that Jesus and only Jesus is the son of God.

Opening the door to devotion is not the end of the madness of the three worlds, that is the mind.

How enlightened is a person that believes that Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma are universally real real forms of God?

Break through the conditioning of the mind, thats all. Don't adopt one fantasy in place of another.
