pawing the door softly he turns and walks back to Rico alerting him.

Rico eyes his dog, deep into depression he was slumped in the chair, seriously thinking about ways to kill himself. The dog's nose had woken him and he stands.* What now? You want to go out? *He mutters, figured. He was about to end it and the damn dog had to piss. He follows him to the door, throwing the latch and opening it, looking down to find Jewel all but past out at his feet..

He lets out a strangled whimper - relief flooding over him followed by distress and concern as he leaned down to gingerly scoop her up and carry her into the apartment, shutting the door with his foot.*
