If he and Dwina have an open marriage, that's up to them. If he is happy with that arrangement, then let it be. If you don't think they are living the lifestyle they should, then pray for them. If you truly love him, accept him for who and what he is.
As far as him not looking happy, if you look at pictures of Robin from the past, he has always been the more pensive, serious looking brother. Often everyone in the pictures are smiling and laughing and he is only grinning. There are many pictures of him, much younger, looking very serious.
Now, the ring issue. I haven't worn my ring in over 15 years, since I almost lost my finger. I have heard of performers who don't wear certain types of rings because they conduct electricity and can cause shocks when dealing with electronic equipment. You don't need a ring to remind you if you are truly married in your heart. If he is happy in his marriage, then I am happy for him.
