I think in recent years this whole business of genital shaving has gotten to be pretty popular. Seems like it used to be something nobody would admit to, but even now you can find men and women talking about it on TV (so far they don't show the actual shaving or its results on any channels I've been watching). And it seems like a lot of straight men think it's pretty cool to do this, like getting a tattoo... and it's less permanent, obviously.
I wanted to share a story here because these last few posts have reminded me something I saw last summer at the gym. I will admit that I pay more than a little attention to men's dicks when I am in the showers... a glance here and there, you know, pretty subtle, but I like to see all the variety, and frequently there are some beautiful specimens. And it's probably been ten years since I first noticed someone who had apparently shaved and trimmed himself down there. Like I said, guys are doing it more and more. But last summer was the first time that I saw a man -- a good looking one, he must have been in his mid-twenties -- shaving his penis and balls in a public shower! He was at the end of the shower room and had his back turned to the rest of us, he wasn't making a big show about it, but he wasn't exactly ashamed and hiding it either. Even from the back you can tell when someone is paying a lot of attention to his private parts, and when I looked carefully, he had a razor in his hand and a can of shaving cream on the soap shelf.
I couldn't resist trying to get a better look, so I turned off my shower and moved over to the one next to this guy. He wasn't paying attention, so I just turned on the shower and acted as though I'd just come in. Of course, it was just as I suspected, this guy was going over everything with that razor, totally focused and oblivious to the other 5-6 guys in the shower (incidentally this is not a gay gym, but this guy was certainly giving a good show). OK, so where am I going with this? If this were pornographic fiction, I'd tell you that all of this led to hot sex with the guy, or maybe an orgy with the whole shower room. But this is a true story, and nothing like that actually happened. My erection eventually went down, the guy kept shaving and never noticed me, and eventually I was able to break away and duck out. I waited in the locker room for the guy to walk in so I could see the final masterpiece he'd created... but he had a towel around him when he left the showers, so I didn't get that perfect close-up view I'd been hoping for. But this guy was seriously beautiful, with a great smooth body, and I can only imagine how well his grooming would complement such a physique. I have been thinking about him for many months now... I hope to see him again at the gym, or even better, at the beach this summer!!
The other thing is that the episode inspired me to shave off everything once last September. I did it at home, I wouldn't trust myself in a public shower... yet. What do you guys think about public shaving?
