but he is too fast. They slow down and look for something easier. She sees the calf Kita smelled, and brings the pack toward it. The herd senses danger and pushes younger ones into the midddle, leaving only strong, fit males to stay on the outside where they are in danger of the wolves. R'washa knows that this is a big herd, and that they are weaker if they are split in two. She looks for a spot where there is a lower density of caibou. Seeing one, she heads toward there. The large animals scatter from the approaching wolves. R'washa looks around, satisfied. There is a smaller group of the young calf and the arithmatic bull. She signals to the other wolves, and they begin to herd the smaller group away from the larger one. First she would wait and see if one of them would panic, and try to make a run back to the main herd. (OOC: you can expand on this, but realize that it must be one of the weaker ones that tries to get away for R'washa to let you go after it.) If on did not, once they were a distance away from the main herd she would split them again, hopefully herding both the young calf and the arithmatic bull into the group that remained trapped. (OOC: another thing to take into consideration is that the main herd will come toward the smaller group and try to reunite them.)

OOC: Kita, it's not too likely for a calf to be born 6 months after the rest of them. It's fine this time, just though I'd let you know.
