If it were me, I would use a 6 man squad (Squad Leader, Automatic Rifleman and four riflemen. No need to include any Saigon soldiers as they had nothing to do with the American experience. I personnaly do not like that term REMF. It is a derogatory term toward soldiers who did important jobs but not considered worthy of recognition. For different locations there are enough photos on Goggle to give you an idea. Locations could include arrival at the base camp, receiving instruction from Headquarters personnel on filling out forms such as last will and testement, call for fire support and dust off training, guarding the perimeter, moving to a field location, losing a friend, reading mail, watching a Bob Hope show, going on R&R, going home. A decent vidoe to watch comes from Military Video.Com called New Soldier Replacement plus they have a few others that would be great training for the actors to get a feel for it.
