Yes, your peahens are doing the "mating crouch" because
they are inprinted on humans. I have known several peahens
with this confused behavior.
It is not very likely that a peahen would be confused enough
to do this for a fox.
Mine are in "secure pens" which keeps them safe.

I used to have a peahen that would AVOID the peacock and
then insist on getting in my way. To get fertile eggs from
her I had to distract her so that Rainbow/Rambo could catch
her.
I seem to run a home for dysfunctional and/or violent
poultry
