DCT, Sorry to hear about your storm damage--(I've been away from the board for a long time.)
I have a question for you (or any one else)about white peafowl. Can anyone sex these little ones at around 3 to 5 weeks? I am would like to add some to my group but don't want to overload on males.
I'm patiently waiting for the hatch of my first Indian Blues & Black Shoulders, looks like within a few days now. I just hope my hens turn out to be good mothers, there are two in charge of setting on the eggs. Thanks for your help.

....But white peachicks all seem very much alike until they
get six or even twelve months old.....

and I remain working myself to frizzled frazzle trying to
get my pens back to normal. Am thankful that I do not have
more of them.....
hey, I need fewer peafowls and more money!!!!!

I have been searching the web about peacocks and still haven't found what I need to know, please help... My neighbor has 3 peahens and 1 peacock, its breeding season now, and usually all of them come over to my house to eat, just 1 peahen is coming now, not even the male, he is like standing guard over the nest.....Do males watch over the eggs and peahens that are nesting???

I have been observing peafowl behavior since 1988 and have
NEVER known of a male having any interest in nest or eggs.
Actually even chicken males show more interest but even so
do not help with the incubating.
