I've been adopted by first a peahen and then about two months later a peacock. I have free range hens so they hang out with them. The hen is grayish with a green neck and the male is grayish with a very blue neck. He has no color in his tale when he displays it. Does anyone know what breed they are and where they may have come from. I live in so. california and they both just showed up in my yard. Also will they breed and have a baby here if they have been hanging around on a daily basis?

Would you believe that the United Peafowl Association
recognises 185 different breeds?
But I have only five kinds (the more common ones) so I can
not be of much help. Go to the UPA website to look at some
of their pictures and find a link to their forum and
perhaps post a photo of you pair there and somebody will
be able to help you.
