I keep a peahen with a peachick or several peachicks in a
separate pen until the young birds are more than half
grown.---It is better to be safe than to be sorry.
Peacocks can be unpredictable.
I have peacocks that suddenly get an urge to beat peahen
so badly that I must move peahen to another pen while she
is still alive. I have other peacocks that want to hurt
their keeper. And some that do both.

Hi Sandy, always take this man's advice :) he is a mine of information on peafowl. Also, if you don't know about it, please take a look at the united peafowl association web site and click on 'forum' for loads of help.
