My peahen hatched an egg 2 days ago and now today, I found a second chick hatched, but was 12 inches from the hen, lying cold on the floor. I picked it up, and it seemed to revive a bit with warmth from my hand. It is under a heat lamp now, but still seems a bit floppy, lying with it's legs pulled back and underside flat on the floor. it seems perkier when I pick it up--that seems good. I guess tomorrow will tell. I'm thinking because there are only 3 eggs and 2 days passed between the hatching, mom rejected this second baby. Or, it possibly could be there is something wrong with the second chick and mom has rejected for this reason. any thoughts?..thanks...Jan
