  • This one bears repeating: COWARD MF got written for 9 OVER? What's wrong with that picture? -- Trooper Sledgehamma (Slamma's cousin), 22:20:41 07/26/01 Thu

  • The True Story: I'm on patrol one day and I see this old rusty cab driving down the road at 22 MPH in a 50. He looked like a real loser so I got in behind him and was pushing that old cab with my push bumpers. We got to 38 and the rust started to fly. At 51, the debris hitting the windshield was becoming unbearable. I was bound and determined to get him to 60 but, believe me, that old rustbucket was disintegrating before my eyes. I'd never quite seen a car do that. Now, I must tell you, the guys back at Troop gave me a Hell of a time for writing that 9 mile over ticket but, it really was the best I could do without having to file an accident report for damage to my unit. Seeing the look on that coward's face when I asked him to sign the ticket was worth all the ribbing in the world. I consider it the highlight of my career.
