My-Friend (M.F.) has been under my care for the past three weeks. As you are aware, he is on medical leave for threatening a co-worker and may end up being unemployed. I realize that all of you on this site have tried to help M.F. realizing long before I, that he was suffering from Psychosis which is a extreme loss of contact with reality including: unrealistic thoughts and feelings, and odd, inappropriate behavior. In other words, �madness� or �lunacy�. I�m sure most of you have already guessed that M.F. suffers from Schizophrenia with highlighted areas involving his disorders of thinking, perception, feeling, behavior, and social relationships. Mr. M.F. has in the past experienced delusions, strongly held false beliefs that cannot be changed despite reason or evidence to the contrary. Right now M.F. is having delusional thinkings, the voice on his police monitor is talking directly to him. This recently caused him to run up and down the road with emergency equipment running. M.F. heard voices calling him a LT. & being tripped to the scene of a multi-car collision where he was to assist in removing the dead and injured. This behavior resulted in police citations being issued. I can see by the posting that the little voice calling him a LT. has caused some concern among his friends. For these reasons, I have asked M.F. not to participate on this Web site. He understands now that most of you are his friends and that you really want to just help him. He wants to apologize to all the fine officers that he has caused problems for. Once the meds become adjusted, I�ll let him come back to this site and you will see a new M.F, but for right now R&R is what the doc has ordered. He really enjoys receiving cards and coming from his friends may help him to a speedy recovery. Thanks: Doc
