Author: Concerned E Bayer
Subject: BP story

To whom it may concern:

About 8 months ago, I decided to sell my 1967 Ford Custom police package sedan. I put it on E Bay and within the first day I received an e mail inquiry from bp1578@aol. He was requesting information on the car as he was prepared to bid. I e mailed him back that evening and told him what he wanted to know about the car. That night before I could even get off line, he e mailed me back with a few more questions and said he had many more. He asked if he could just call me. I replied with my phone numbers both at home and work but told him not to call thet night.

The next day, he called me at work. He asked me a bunch of questions about the car, and I answered what I could. But he wass kind of argumentive about the answers. I didn't think anything about it. Then he told me he wanted it. I said he could bid on it but he said that I should just sell it to him. That way, I wouldn't have to pay e bay. He offered me $500 more than the starting bid if I would close the auction. I didn't want to but he pressured me for over an hour until I finally agreed.

That night, I closed the auction. He called me at my home and asked where to send the money. During this conversation, he mentioned the amount he was sending. It was $1000 less then what I was orignally asking. I couldn't beleive it. I tried reminding him what the deal had been but he kept denying it, saying I was a liar. Finally, I just had to hang up on him.

For the next 30 days or more, my life was hell. This man called my wife, my kids, me, my work, etc. and just kept on being very weird. At times he would just scream at whoever answered the phone. At other times, he'd act real friendly. He told my kids to try and talk me into selling the car. The next time he got my kids, he'd threaten them. He'd get my boss on the phone and tell him crap like I had a criminal record. He'd have me called out of meetings with the lie that it was my wife's doctor calling.

I had to call the police finally, afraid for my family and my job. The police were amazed at what had happened because of an E Bay ad. They took a complaint and I signed a complaint. They have a warrant for him for harassment but since he is out of state, they can't serve it. The warrant will be served if he ever shows up at my door.

I put the car in the local paper and sold it to a teenager within 2 days without a problem. He wanted to trick it out for dragging. It sold for $300 less than what I had started the auction at but I just wasn't going to chance this E Bay stuff again and I certainly didn't want to trust the police package hobby.

I started to check out the place that he said he helps out on, copcar com. I figured I'd check it out and even found the bulletin board. I watched for months and finally was able to figure out what was going on. It doesn't really look like this guy Parks has anything to do with copcar com.

This man needs to be stopped. he is a regular menace to good people. I hope you people can spread the word about him as much as possible becasue there will be more victims out there.

I am not signing this. He still knows my number at work, though I've changed my home number.
