Author: Rick, the Enforcer
Subject: So, you want to talk about REAL cars, huh?

I just received my copy today of Ed Sanow's latest book "POLICE CARS Restoring, Collecting & Showing America's Finest Sedans" after ordering it on the Amazon link at copcar dot com. Let me just say that it's a must-read for anyone in the hobby (sorry Tubby, that doesn't include you).

The cover features a full color shot of Greg Reynolds' awesome Chicago Dodge and is chock full of great pictures of copcar restorations in various stages of completion. This book will be a very valuable tool to anyone who is serious about their police car and is looking for tips to rebuild it correctly (Once again Tarpman, this doesn't apply to you since there are no chapters about taxi restoration).

Regular copcar show circuit attendees will recognize many of the vehicles in this book, but there are also a few new ones to the hobby that make their official debut in Ed's new book. One such car is on page 36. It is a certain 1976 Pontiac LeMans Enforcer owned and restored back to its original Georgia State Patrol specs by a certain guy who happens to be writing this post. If you squint real hard, you can make him out behind the wheel too!!

I was proud, honored and humbled to see my car in the company of and sharing pages the with other great vehicles that I've heard so much about on the various websites and look forward to displaying with very soon.

The best part? Not one photo or mention of any rustbucket, jalopy, primer coated, tarp covered, driveway bound, neighborhood eyesore, ex-taxicab masquerading itself in a bevy of lies in Port Orange, Florida anywhere in the entire book. What's the matter Fat Boy? This would have been the perfect opportunity to get yourself some positive recognition for once and prove yourself as a legitimate collector or enthusiast.

Oh well. The fact remains, MY car is real and now it's published WORLDWIDE!!

Your car(s) are....well, nowhere but in your little mind.

Rick, always the Enforcer
