It is done,
Glorious madness recedes,
The artist makes way.
Gnawing hunger sated,
For dread delights.
His work a testament
To his soul.

A downward plunge
Started years before,
One lonely dance, a
Mishap, that changed a life.
Instead of life, death he
Brings, his sole companion
Too many a night.

Passionless grace, dancing
To the beat of demons within,
As he carves in grim delight.
Pride is all that keeps him
From entering eternal sleep,
To finally accomplish
What was started.

Down this lonely road,
He knows too well, the
Doom that awaits him now.
Never to age
Never to die
Locked up within
The prison of words.

The authors will sing
For years to come
The anthem that was
Made these nights
While in his tomb
Lead lodged in his brain,
Never be to rest.
Never to be free.
