The following is a re-post of a very ticked off Oxymoron responding to a post by Bryan Reed on Steve's board. After reading it do you tend to agree with Oxymoron's post? Do you also think that Bryan Reed tends to be an ass and antagonistic?

Fine then, let me put it to you in this big paragraph... make sure to read the whole thing thoroughly...
You are guilty of a big Fallacy of Logic...
One that I can't stand...
and that is.... "The Hasty Generalization"
Ever since we started this argument, you have jumped down my throat and forced your views and opinions on me...
You started by saying that I was part of the Problem with America...
Not Oh, I understand your views.. or hmmm.. explain why you feel this way so I can get a better understanding of how you think...
Nope, you just jumped right in, and started hammering away and attacking me with your views and ideals... You started Labeling me and pre-judging me, when you have no clue as to who I am...
You just take a few of my statements and figure that he is a College student who doesn't think for himself.. just goes along with society all happy and chipper...
What the hell is that? You have no clue as to who I am as a person yet you think you do.... and that is where you are wrong...
I am not asking you to become my buddy... or to try and see the inner me..
What I am saying is, I know some stuff about you from Vaughn Kelly and Steve Jeffries... but you know nothing about me...
They told me stories about you when we were stationed in DC...
and yes I know about the corruption in Politics because I worked at the Pentatgon and I saw it every day....
Next issue... who gave you the right to pre-judge me? No one... you just assumed it...
The people who are at fault for the way things are, are our parents, because they gave birth to us....
That is who you should blame...
Why blame me for all the problems of the United States.. that is what is seems like you are doing.. by saying it's all my fault for this and that and the other... it makes no sense... why not blame all of those poeple who are registered to vote as republicans? I told you I registered as a "NO PARTY AFFILIATE" Do you know what that means? I know you do... but you twist it into something it is not...
you have this predetermined idea that if you don't register as a Democrat you are with the enemy... and that's just not true... that is ignorance.... Straight up, plain and simple ignorance....
You are guilty of it... you have been forcing your way of thinking on me... and I don't like it... you are acting like the Media in our society... telling me I have to think a certain way, I have to vote a certain way... telling me that you Bryan Reed are right... you are God... you know all the answers..
That is what I feel you are doing in your posts...
you have a God Complex... you think you know the answers to all the political problems in America...
Well, go and fix them... go ahead... we are all watching and waiting..
If you can do it... more power to you... I would love to see some POSITIVE CHANGE in this country...
Something that benefits those who are not rich or rich middle class.....
I would think that you could understand that not everyone on this PLANET... thinks exatly alike... we are all different on this spec of dust floating in a giant universe...
But instead you dwell on something that has no impact on our universe as a whole...
What does it all mean? Well, it means that I am tired of arguing over politics...
this is why I try to steer away from political debates... because we end up doing what all the politicians do to each other when they campaign...
we force our opinions on each other...and try to tell people that we are right and they are wrong... without respecting their views... because you have shown no respect for anything I have said... and I have done the same to you....
we make hasty generalizattions based on limited information... no one truly tries to understand where the other guy is coming from.... although I see what you mean.. and I understand what you are saying.. it's just that I am not agreeing with you... and you keep trying to MAKE ME agree with you... and it's not going to work...
because you have pre-judged and labled me...
I hate that... it's very rude... especially when it comes from someone who is as intelligent as you are...
I would think that only ignorant un-educated people were the ones who label people and pre-judge them...
and I really don't want to categorize you as that because I don't really know you...
Do you at all see what I am getting at? Or are you going to come back on this and slam me and say it's still my fault for the war in Iraq and for the Stock Market Crashing and your Pet that died when you were a child... and it's my fault Jesus was Crusified, and for the Holocaust... and for The Great San Francisco Earth Quake...?
Are you going to continue to blame me for all the problems with society and government when I hate both of them?
You don't see that I hate society or the government... but you label me as a mainstream pop culture person.. just because I mentioned that I liked the philosophy of 1 movie... That was a hasty generalization...
Well, anyhow continue to slam me with your political prowress... and tell me what's wrong with my views.. since in America we are always too busy pointing out the negative aspects in people rather than to look at anything positive they might have to say or think or be...
shit... I could really be a nice kind hearted good person.. and you would never know it.. because your too busy with your head up your ass screaming about how I ruined America with my political views...
- this is all just my take on the argument we were having... I stepped back and re-read everything we both typed... you haven't.... you have just been on the attack the whole time... if you can't go back and see that, then you are blind...
