I think Buffy and Angel will always belong together. I haven't seen many Angel episodes yet so I can't comment on how Cordelia's character has changed from her Buffy days. But when I think about Buffy and Angel's relationship, I remember the scene where Angel comes to Sunnydale for Joyce's funeral. When you see them sitting together and talking, they are completely at ease even though they've been apart for a while. It's almost as if they are talking to themselves, it's so natural. That's a soul mate. Angel commented in another episode that there's nothing more frightening than loneliness, and I think they both realize that since they can't be together, they shouldn't shut themselves off from feeling for other people. But I hope that they are able to be with each other in the end.
