Nobody notices that he is silently praying for the mare to come back to life also. He sees Meadow and walks towards her. His ears are pricked. When he sees the glare the other horses give him though, he begins to back up. He knows he is hated and does not belong with such a sweet mare and the rest of the horses. He looks at the white mare once again. Meadow. He looks longer at her, and he wonders if she could love him ever. Then he loks at CHampion. Could she ever break away from Champion?
