Let me say my 2 cents and I'm done. The Bible is the "Word of God" as written by man (highly subject to flaw) and interpretation. According to the Leviticus chapter that many use to attack homosexuality, eating shrimp or pork, wearing polycotton blends or planting mingled seeds are also equal sins, but you hear no Christians condemning these practices, or picketing Red Lobster. Nor do you see them attacking the sin of pride or self-righteousness with such fervor. Why? Because MAN used the Bible to pick out and selectively target gay people. It's a society and social issue. Not a religious one.

In my opinion, once again being as it was written by man, I do not believe that the Bible should be regarded as a strict rulebook, or that EVERYTHING it says should be followed or taken literally. But more of a guide on how you should live with God. The Bible also said "slaves obey your masters", but we don't use that part, today, because society has changed since then. Spirituality over religion.

I'm agnostic theist myself. Meaning that I am a "fencesitter" as some people call me (whatever), not choosing science or God, as nothing has enough evidence. But, the theist part of that term just means that I strongly lean towards THINKING that some higher power existing, though it can't be proven. However, I think that basing your entire life around something that requires a blind leap of faith is ridiculous. Not just a blind leap of faith, that God exists, but a blind leap of faith that ONE religion is right and all others wrong with little to no SOLID evidence to back that up. A leap of blind faith that you THINK only your sect or faith knows what God wants (how many people argue religion nowadays?-It's not that clearcut-many people are just scared to question things regarding their "faith" they learned from society and respect for cultural tradition more than logic and rationalization).
