Imanol courteously pulls out Marina's chair, so that she can stand. Once Marina stands, Imanol gallantly extends his arm out and his face full of love, asks her, "Marina huesito
do you want to take a stroll around the deck?" While she loops her arm through Imanol's bent outstretched arm, Marina's blue eyes dance with merriment as she stares into Imanol's twinkling hazel eyes, her lips twitching mischevously, she replies, "Yes, but first introduce me to Pablo Montero, he's so talented and cute!
As, Imanol's gorgeous eyes darken and glare at Marina's angelic-looking face, he squezzes Marina's lightly, jealously saying "Pablo's talented all right, but he's not that cute. I'm cuter right?" Marina, pretending to think it over, tilts her head to one side, puckers her lips into a moue and responds truthfully. "No, Imanol, you are not cute." This startles a stony faced Imanol into yelping, "I'm not?" And he inadvertently tightens the loop of their arms. Marina shakes her golden head, cups his cheek lovingly with her free hand, her azure eyes gazing tenderly into Imanol's glowing amber eyes. She laughingly replies, "Imanol, you are handsome! And even though you are an insupportable yuppie sometimes, I love you, God knows why, but I do! But don't get a big head about it! Marina adds, "You don't have to be jealous of anyone, yuppie of Stanford." Imanol's face melts into a bemused, adoring look, his hazel eyes alight with happiness. Marina moves an inch closer to Imanol and gives him a quick kiss on his cheek, near his mouth. Imanol hugs Marina joyfully with his free arm, huskily whispering "I love you too, my huesito." Marina smiles, then tugs Imanol over to where Pablo and the mariachis are finishing up their song. As she does so, she says, "Come on introduce me."
Imanol performs the introduction, his eyes cloud over with the green-eyed monster for a moment, as Marina kisses Pablo on the cheek, graciously thanking Pablo and the mariachis for serending her and her boyfriend Imanol. Marina then flashes a breathtaking smile at Imanol, who calms down upon hearing Marina's words and upon receiving that smile. He calms down enough to clap Pablo on the shoulder, saying "Thank you my friend. It's greatly appreciated, because I know how busy you are viejo, thanks again Pablo." Pablo responds he was glad to do it, then he and the mariachis head into the salon of the yacht.
Marina and Imanol begin their stroll around the deck, arm in arm, basking in the warmth of each other's closeness and snuggling cozily. They wander toward the railing and stop. Marina steps out in front of Imanol to get a closer look at the glittering night lights of the "malecon" or boardwalk of Vera Cruz, which she can see from the deck of the ship. Imanol standing right behind her, wraps her in a strong embrace, his arms sliding possessively, lovingly around her waist. Marina leans back into Imanol's body, the back of her heard resting against the open vee of Imanol's white shirt, her own arms clasping Imanol's arms tightly. Imanol's chin rests on top of Marina's head. They turn their attention from the "malecon," to the enchantment of the velvet night sky filled with the light of the silvery moon and the stars sparkling like diamonds.
To their amazament and delight, a shooting star shoots across the sky. Imanol throatily whispers "Make a wish, huesito my love." Marina and Imanol wish upon theh star.
For the next few minutes they continue to view the spectacular night in contented silence. Then as Marina's slim hands nervously carresses the back of Imanol's hands, she breaks the silence, her soft voice lilting in a questioning tone, "Imanol, did you mean it back in the hotel, when you said that I tempt you? I'm not too fat to tempt you?" Imanol gently turns Marina to face him, within the secure embrace of his arms, his golden brown orbs gazing intently into Marina's vulnerable blue orbs and responds with a slight tremor in his voice. "Chiquita, do you tempt me? Like try all the time, I've been crazy about you ever since that moment; when you crashed into my car and I saw you again after all these years apart. And with the way you look tonight in that lovely, flowing, off the shoulder Royal Blue dress, I've had to mentally remind myself tonight that I can't eat you up like my favorite dessert; flan, no matter how much I want to. And no, Marina you are not fat, in fact to me you are perfect." Then he removes one arm from around her waist, brushing the fingertips of his hand tenderly over Marina's soft lips. Marina has been hypnotized by Imanol's answer, the ardent look in his darkened eyes and when his fingertips graze her lips and then move to graze her collarbone, she's totally lost. Her big blue eyes luminous with love. Her hands cup his face as she swallows a lump in her throat. Her voice thick with emotion, she manages to whisper a bit impatiently, "first You crashed into me, secondly what are you waiting for to kiss me, an engraved invitation?" Imanol chuckles huskily, again encloses Marina within the circle of his arms, lowers his face and kisses her passionately. Both savor the long kiss; like they would savor their favorite dessert. When they pull apart, both Marina and Imanol are breathing unsteadily. Imanol shakily says "Now do you believe that you tempt me all the time?" Marina nods her head and replies with a tremor in her own voice, "I believe you." Imanol continues, "Good. We have to get an early start tommorrow, so before we go I want to give you something. Close your eyes chiquita." "You want to give me a present?" squeals a suprised Marina. Then she continues crestfallenly, "but I don't have a gift for you." Imanol responds softly, "You are my gift, huesito. Now close those baby blues." Marina does as he requests. Imanol pulls out a velvet box from the pocket of his pants and softly unclasps Marina's right hand from his face. Marina then feels a weight on her slender wrist. Imanol tells her, "Okay, open your eyes chiquita." When Marina does, she sees a 14k gold Herringbone bracelet resting on her right wrist. She stares in astonishment at Imanol's tender face, fingering the bracelet as she wonderingly states, "Its beautiful, Imanol I love it." Imanol grins and tells her it matched the necklace that he had given her, so he bought it for her. Marina, with unshed tears of joy in her azure eyes hugs him fiercely, then gently kisses him, whispering against his lips, "Thank you for my bracelet and this magical night, my caballero"." Imanol gruffly replies "You're quite welcome my Lady huesito." Then he returns the hug and the kiss.
They feel the ship rock a bit as it docks. The sweethearts head to the front of the ship and disembark. Then they head back to the hotel.
Saying good night at Marina's hotel door, Imanol, who with his two hands has cupped Marina's face, sweetly and playfully tells Marina "Good night, my love, dream with the angels and me." Then he leans into her and gives her a gentle kiss. Marina her arms curled around Imanol's neck teases back, "Good night, my love, dream with the angels and me." Curiously she asks, "Imanol where are we going tommorrow?" Imanol reluctantly uncurls Marina's arms from around his neck and replies resignedly, "All right, I'll tell you where we're going, but not what we're going to do. Deal?" Marina eagerly agrees to the deal. Imanol says,
"We're going to Naolinco and Xalapa."
