Imanol and Marina heard Mauricio's voice ask "Marina are you ready to disembark?" Marina, startled drops the pillow as she swivels her head in Mauricio's direction and stammers out "Uh, no I'll be ready in a few minutes okay?" Mauricio sighs, and says "I'll wait for you then at the entrance of the plane okay?" Marina nods her head yes. Mauricio leans in and gives Marina a quick kiss. Imanol (standing behind Marina,) manages to keep a straight face, but he clenches his fists. Mauricio leaves and Marina bends down to pick up her carry on bag. Imanol looks down at the top of Marina's head, about to speak, when Marina straightens up and quietly says "Have to go, my boyfriend's waiting for me." And Marina starts to go into the aisle. A
frustrated Imanol detains her by the arm and retorts,"Fine, go with your Adonis, because I'm going with my girlfriend Barbara." Marina stung by the retort, just glares at Imanol and then marches down the aisle. Imanol's eyes darken with pain as he watches Marina go. Then he resigns himself to Barbi's company, as she comes up to him and says "Manny darling, ready to go?" Imanol walks out into the aisle.(following Barbi's lead)...Meanwhile, Marina wipes an angry tear from her face,(muttering to herself "What do I care if Imanol is with honey Barbi? It doesn't matter to me in the least.") before she reaches Mauricio at the plane's entrance. When Marina reaches Mauricio, she gives him a wide smile and says "ready to have some fun?" Mauricio hugs Marina to him and replies, "with you always." Laughing and joking they(side by side) start down the stairs(put to the door of the airplane, so the passengers can exist the plane) and are halfway down, when Marina feels faint again and stumbles against Mauricio's body. Mauricio alarmed, asks Marina "what's wrong preciosa?" as he encircles Marina's waist with his arm pulling her close against him (so he can support her with his body.)...At that moment, Imanol(who didn't see Marina stumble,) reaches the top of the stairs and sees Mauricio embracing Marina. His eyes cloud over with hurt and he's bitten by the green eyed monster. He thinks jealously, "Why Marina?,Why?"...Marina(still held against Mauricio's body) quietly answers Mauricio, "I'm fine now its just that I haven't really eaten anything today, just a few crackers on the plane."(Mauricio and Marina have now reached the end of the stairs and are walking slowly across the tarmac of the airport, heading into the airport to go and get their luggage.) A relieved Mauricio responds, "Well when we get to the hotel, we will eat something, then you're going to rest. You gave me a scare, preciosa. And I'll support you until we get to the cars that will take us to the hotel, okay?" Marina begins to state that she's okay now that he doesn't have to keep supporting her. Mauricio insists on doing so, "Marina,you're weak with hunger and probably have jet lag. I don't want you giving me another fright and fainting on me in the middle of the airport, so you are going to lean on me until we get to the cars. I don't want to hear any arguments about it, Understand?" Marina gratefully nods her head for she still feels a bit light-headed...Mauricio cracks a joke to make Marina laugh. Marina does...Barbi and Imanol(who couldn't hear Marina and Mauricio's conversation, because they were too far away) have now almost caught up with Mauricio and Marina.) Imanol gazes at Mauricio and Marina bitterly as he hears Marina laugh. Imanol then intentionally reaches out for Barbi's hand. So when Imanol and Barbi come abreast of Marina and Mauricio, Marina sees Imanol chatting with and walking hand in hand with Barbi. Marina's eyes glisten with anger and hurt. She purposefully nestles deeper into Mauricio's embrace, while she thinks, bittersweetly of the kiss that she and Imanol shared on the plane. Imanol,(not missing Marina's nestle against Mauricio,) masks his jealously by breezily telling them "see you later lovebirds." as he and Barbi pass Mauricio and Marina by.(Though Imanol is still watching Mauricio and Marina out of the corner of his eye,)...Marina smiles at Mauricio,(squeezing his arm still encircling her waist)saying so softly (that only Maurico hears her,) "Thank you for being so good to me." Mauricio laughs and responds "what is a boyfriend for?"(then Mauricio gently kisses Marina on the temple.)...Imanol's eyes flash dangerously as he sees and hears Mauricio's response...Imanol is waiting for his luggage to pass by on the conveyor belt.(Imanol tiring of Barbi's company, convinced her that she would be more comfortable waiting in the air conditioned car(since Barbi already had gotten her luggage,which a porter took to the car.)(Barbi agreed and is waiting in the car.)...Marina and Mauricio enter the baggage claim area. Imanol spots them and manuvers himself close to where they are standing. Marina and Mauricio have not spotted Imanol in the crowd. Mauricio's luggage comes out first and he has a porter take it to the car.(That way , he explains to Marina, we just have to load your luggage onto the car once it comes out. Marina tells Mauricio that's a good idea. Mauricio(letting go of Marina)
says apologetically to her, "Preciosa, I have to go to the men's room, okay? Let me call a porter, in case your bags"(his voice trails off,) as Imanol(who's already retrieved his one piece of luggage) falsely nonchalant interrupts, "It's all right viejo, I can keep an eye on Marina and retrieve her luggage if it comes out on the belt while you're not here." Marina jumps, startled by the proximity of Imanol's voice(by now he's positioned himself behind her to the side of her left shoulder) and she turns around asking Imanol sarcastically "Isn't your Barbi waiting for you?" Imanol replies tauntingly, "She loves me. And I love her. She'll wait for me." Mauricio worried about leaving Marina alone, relunctuntly agrees to Imanol's help. Mauricio gives her a kiss on the cheek. Marina(hurt by what Imanol said) gently brushes(on purpose)Mauricio's cheek...Mauricio goes. Marina and Imanol are alone. Imanol inflamed whips around demanding, "Marina, what's up with you?(Imanol angrily yanks Marina's luggage off the conveyor.)(A porter takes their luggage.) Imanol starts walking her to the car,his arm has a steel grip on Marina's elbow, Marina protests "Mauricio will...(her voice trails off at Imanol's growled reply, "Mauricio can catch up. we were so close on the plane, yet you pushed me away once we landed, to be with Mauricio. Why?" Marina can't get a word in edgewise as Imanol continues, "you know what, don't tell me, you've made it perfectly clear that you don't know what you want and I've had enough!"(They have reached the car at this point, Imanol reaching around Marina to open the car door so Marina can climb in)...(Barbi and Pilar were put in the same car, so they were whisked to the hotel as soon as Pilar got into the car.)...Marina feeling completely lightheaded, clutches Imanol's forearm, sadly and weakly saying to Imanol. "Imanol I...then Marina faints for real into Imanol's arms...Imanol begins to desperately call her name,"Marina, Marina, what's wrong? Don't play around with me!" Wake up darn it! Marina chiquita, huesito, Wake up! all the while cradling her gently, anxiously against his body. Imanol then quickly bundles her into the car and begins to tell the driver to go the nearest hospital, when Marina begins to stir...
