It has been a heartwrenching week with the tragedy that struck USA on Tuesday, September 11,2001. After being glued to the tv for the past 4 days. I decided to distract myself by posting fan fiction 7.

Barbi slaps(an off guard Marina)hard on the face. Barbi spews ugly names at Marina and screaming that "she Barbi would get Imanol back that what Imanol feels for Marina was just pity not love." Mauricio stills Barbi's hand as it was being raised to slap Marina again. Benita and Marina were at first frozen in shock, but then Benita yells for hotel security as she hits Barbi in the head. Marina reacts(by punching Barbi in the midsection) at the same time saying
in a very pleased tone of voice, "He did break up with you! He did mean it when he said he wanted us to be together!"
Benita has gone to get the hotel security. An excited Marina backs away from Barbi. Barbi doubles over with pain, but as she is straightening up, Barbi reaches out with her hand towards Marina. And with her long nails claws a couple of bloody gashes on Marina's arm. Barbi is immediately detained by the hotel security, as Benita has gone to the front desk and asked Pablo the hotel clerk if she can borrow the lobby desk phone to call Marina's mom, Pilar.
While this was happening in the lobby, Imanol had arrived at Pilar's room. Pilar had let him in the room. She tells him playfully that she knows his feast day is in a few days , but she wants to give him a suprise for tommorrow night. Imanol wonders aloud "Que Sorpresa?" or "What suprise?" Pilar instructs him to walk over to the dresser and pick up and open the manila envelope laying on it. He retrieves the envelope and curiously opens it. What he finds inside startles him, "It's two tickets for an Alejandro Sanz concert with the Xalapa Symphany, for tommorrow night. The concert has been sold out for weeks,I know because I tried to get tickets but couldn't." he says as he stares wide-eyed at Pilar.
Pilar says "I know that he is your favorite singer, and I had Claudio go and get the tickets for you, so that I could suprise you for your feast day." Imanol, happily says "You suprised me all right." He tucks the tickets into his jeans pocket and hugs Pilar gratefully. Pilar continues, "You and Barbi should enjoy the concert." Imanol tells her, "Uh,
Barbi and I broke up, we don't love each other that way any more." Pilar immediately becomes concerned, "Are you okay?" Imanol answers very calmly, "Yes I'm fine. Thanks again." He hugs her again, then leaves her room. As the door closes on him, Pilar's room phone rings. Its Benita with the news about Barbi's attack on Marina. Pilar is unpleasantly suprised and says she'll be right down.
On the way down from Pilar's room, Imanol stops (on his and Marina's floor) and raps on Marina's door, calling out softly, "Marina, chiquita are you in there?" When he gets no response, his eyes darken with puzzlement and he continues morosely down to the lobby.
As the elevator doors open, Imanol steps out and immediately sees Mauricio,(standing with his back to the elevator) but not Marina. Imanol stops in his tracks and his hazel eyes sweep the room seeking Marina. He finally catches a glimpse of her hair and bent head, when Mauricio moves an inch to his right. Imanol's face tightens with hurt and jealousy as he advances swiftly towards Mauricio and Marina. He comes up behind them as he hears, Mauricio(in a concerned tone of voice,) ask Marina "Are you sure you don't want to go the hospital to...A startled Mauricio stops speaking as a worried Imanol shoulders him out of the way to ask fearfully, "Hospital? Marina, Huesito what happened?" (His face goes pale) as he sees Marina's forearm being wrapped in a bandage by Benita. Imanol has gently taken hold of Marina's free arm and implores her, "Marina tell me please, chiquita." Marina's head has come up for she had it bent, looking on, as Benita wrapped her gashes.(Barbi was taken away by the hotel security.) Marina gazes lovingly at Imanol and says unruffled, "Barbi and I had a fight and she gave me a few scratches, but I'm okay now, that you're here with me." Then Marina grins gently and softly pats his cheek with her free hand. Imanol squeezes her hand on his cheek with his hand for a minute before letting go of her hand. His body and face become rigid with rage against Barbi for hurting his love, Marina. Marina sees his face harden and misunderstands his reaction. Angrily Marina says in a voice filling with tears, "Imanol if your angry at me and you don't want to be with me,..." Marina's voice stops, as a suprised Imanol quickly,& tenderly hugs her uninjured side, and tenderly plants a loving kiss on her cheek, reassuring her in a strong voice, "Marina I'm not angry with you huesita, I'm furious with Barbi for doing what she did to you!" "Oh, I thought you were upset at me for fighting with your "honey barbi" and security took her away. Can we go to my room now? I'm tired." Marina replies mollified by Imanol's response. She settles her uninjured side against Imanol's strong shoulder and he insists on accompanying her to her room. Imanol's arm strongly wraps around Marina's waist. Marina's blue eyes and Imanol's hazel eyes lock in a private "eat each other up" look", then they share a private laugh. (Mauricio has gone off to his room and Benita wandered off after she finished bandaging Marina's arm to give Imanol and Marina some private time alone.) Imanol and Marina walk slowly onto the elevator, lost in their own world.(As observed by Pablo the hotel clerk.)
From the elevator at the other end of the lobby, Pilar rushes out to see what happened to Marina, she finds no one in the lobby. She hurries to the front desk and asks Pablo about Marina Iturriaga, explaining that Marina is her daughter. Pablo tells her everything that happened since he was a witness to the scene between Barbi and Marina. At the end of the tale, Pablo adds, "And Marina just went upstairs with her boyfriend." Pilar thinks its Mauricio and she then asks about where Barbi is, Pablo tells her and then Pilar finds the hotel security and Barbi. Pilar tells Barbi that Barbi's stay in Vera Cruz is over, for her to bag her bags and leave. Barbi angrily complies under the watchful eyes of the security. Pilar hurries to go and see Marina in her room.
In Marina's room, Imanol has settled Marina comfortably on a chair(her injured arm propped on a pillow, another pillow behind her neck), then Imanol squats next to her chair. And cupping her face softly between his hands. His face becomes a question mark and he asks vulnerably, "Did you break up with Mauricio?" Then more curiously and a little jealously, asks "If you did, what took you so long to return to the hotel?" Marina leans towards Imanol and whispers "don't be jealous mi caballero." (Marina's unhurt arm musses Imanol's bangs playfully.) adding "Mauricio and I did break up but we remained friends, then we went shopping." Imanol's eyes gleam laughingly and he teases "Marina like you need to do any more shopping." Then Imanol leans into her to give her a sweet, lingering kiss. When both Imanol and Marina hear a startled gasp(Imanol had left Marina's door ajar and Pilar entered and saw the kiss that Imanol was giving Marina.) Marina and Imanol break apart, and they explain what happened between them to Pilar, who's stunned at first, but then is very happy for them. She leaves the room and admonishes Imanol not to stay much longer, because Marina needs her rest. Imanol agrees not to stay to much longer. Once her mom has gone, Marina teases Imanol, asking him, "you don't want to know what I got you for your feast day while I was out shopping do you?" Imanol face lights up, as he kneels by her seat and asks "You bought something for me, chiquita?"
Marina smugly responds "Its a suprise." Imanol pleads for Marina to tell him but to no avail, so then he begins to tickle Marina on her stomach, she tries to defend herself with one arm but is more or less at Imanol's mercy. Imanol continues to tickle her, saying "Huesito I won't stop until you tell me," Marina squeals with laughter, which is music to Imanol's ears. He relents and stops tickling her, because she is tiring and he can see it in her face. Imanol joyfully and calmly says "Marina, take a nap and in about two hours or so, I'll be back and we'll go out on our first official date." Then Imanol's cups Marina's face tenderly as he passionately kisses her ciao for now. Marina's face glows with happiness as she says "yes mi caballero..."
