In reply to: Bob 's message, "Re: How long will it be before they actually go to trial? n/t" on 07:56:46 04/29/02 Mon

He will never drop the case, he doesn't do that. He might settle, but this judge probably won't, he seems like the stiff upper lip type.

My friend Sue and I discussed this the other night... the judge said that Geoff made comments about the juror DURING the trial. According to the newspaper Geoff made the comments AFTER the trial where he used the word "nazi" and creep" to refer to a juror.

You see, it's worse for a lawyer to make statements DURING a trial then to give his opinion afterwards. That is what his case is against this judge, the judge said he made statements DURING the trial. That is false and that is one of the things this lawsuit is based on.

Second Geoff claims he "does not RECALL" using the word Nazi, he is not saying he flat out did not say it, he just does not recall it. Sort of gives him an out, well, sort of.

Well anyways, he has a case, though it's probably not worth going this length of bringing it to a lawsuit or trial. One plus he could have is that the lawsuit was filed in MI. therefore the trial will be there. Afterall, could he really get a fair trial in FL after all this??? LOL
