Michelle, you are right to hold back judgement of guilt or innocence on Ralf. I've already stated I dont have a clue about that. I only judge what I see based on my own predjudices (right or wrong). I'm a psych RN and as such I tend to believe more what I see than what I hear which is often distorted and slanted toward what the person wants people to believe; the Panitz' would like for folks to buy into the "we took Nancy on the Springer show to humiliate her into leaving us alone and part of that was that Ralf had to sleep with her the night before so as to create an illusion that he was actually wanting her back"; and then after she got on the show they lowered the boom on her by producing Eleanor to call her names (old, fat and ugly) and to tell her with Ralfs acquiescence, that he didn't love her anymore and sleeping with her was just a sham. I felt so sorry for her. She was overweight, but that can be corrected - old and ugly she was not. She had a pretty face and could have been very attractive - even beautiful with the right diet, clothes and makeup and more subdued hairstyle. If she had wanted to, with these changes, she could have given Elli a run for her money after Ralf (who IMHO) ain't no prize. Bottom line, I can't stand any of them; they try to come across as educated (had me fooled at first she DID), now I think she has simpley perfected the art of disguise. I'll leave you with this truth: In the DSM-IV dealing with psychiatric conditions, a person suffering from BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder)Shows a marked pattern of chaotic relationships; inconsistant self-image. They do tend to display the chameleon effect, which means whatever the situation demands they will produce. Left without strict bounderies for their behavior to others they fly by the seat of their pants and usually to their own detriment. This is just the tip of the iceberg - there is much more to these people than meets the eye on first meeting. Eleanor, Ralf and Nancy, all seemed to fit into this to one degree or another. I don't really want Ralf to be guilty, or Eleanor. I want them to be set free - their lives together will be penance enough.
