I am a VERY liberal card carrying democrat, a member of the ACLU and Amnesty International. I am a licensed attorney in the State of Ohio who has been practicing law for 15 years. I represent the oppressed as I work with women who are abused and who have no financial stability. Many times, I do work "pro bono". That means, non-gratis..no pay. Mr. Fieger has proven over the years, that he pays for publicity. I take case for no compensation not because I want to be sure that I get face time in the national press, but because I truly want to help people. Yes, I've tried many cases, to date probably close to 200. Have I been successful in all of those? No. But I can honestly say that for the most part, justice has prevailed. You know, I will bet you that Mr. Fieger makes most of his money in settlements from what I've read and heard. I'm sure he does employ quite a few people, however some of my attorney acquaintences in the Metro Detroit area tell me that the firm is a revolving door. His employees are treated like absolute slaves and only misfits and "wanna bes" for lack of a better term, stay there for an extended period of time. The firm is quite the "dysfunctional family". I've wasted far too much time on this forum. I couldn't help but comment initially as the case deals with issues I am faced with in my daily practice...and the level of offensive conduct by your hero. Everything I've heard from colleagues in Michigan has been proven true based upon my viewing of Fieger's long winded, regretable opening statement. Again...kudos to Court TV for beginning to act responsibly!! I really hope all of you find better avenues to invest your time and effort.
