"Eeeeeaaaaaaaaagh" the scream rebounded within the walls of the keep. High Priestess Talur awoke in her chamber bathed in sweat, and her eyes rolled back in her head as the visions that seared her mind flashed in front of her.

Groping for her weapons to battle the enemy she fell face down on the floor. It was while lying on the floor that she heard her name called in love. It was the whisper on the wind, the moonlight dancing on streams through the window. It was the voice of her true love - her Goddess Dana.

With the sound of her voice the darkness retreated & she stood before me in her radiant glory. "come daughter, tell me what troubles your heart, as I know the sorrow you have felt as your heart sister travelled beyond the clouds. But be of good cheer she accomplishes much in my name, and often remembers your time together with love and affection."

Standing I stepped into the embrace of my Goddess, and in her arms found healing for my soul, and peace for my mind.
Together we stepped into time beyond time and came to her sanctuary. There I was greeted by my old friends the guardians - Wolf, Bear, Stag, and they comforted me,instilling purpose in my soul to face the future that called to us all.

Now that I felt restored I looked into the eyes of my goddess and she spoke "Of all my children there has been but one High Priestess, many follow and love me and serve me with honour and distinction, but you alone daughter beat with my heartbeat, and have chosen to forsake everything for my prescence. I know what you have left behind to follow me, yet never have you questioned my will but in all things have obeyed with conviction and courage. So to you is given portents and visions of what may be, and now is time to reveal all."

With haunted eyes I looked at my Goddess and spoke words gravelly with death "I see a land without your light, A place of shadow and despair, a land where man is set against man, and trust is discarded. It is a place of death, and though I wonder the land I see no sign of our children, all are lost and alone and so I fight against the darkness till my light is extinguished and I am no more"

"How can this be, Dana - what would make such a thing happen" I cried in anguish, tears flowing freely down my face, then a hand was placed on my shoulder and a bottle collected my tears for evey tear is precious and she knows them all, and I melted against her chest and gradually my heart slowed and beat in unison with her own.

Lifting my face to her own she kissed me briefly and said"Hear Oh daughter the wisdom of the ages, Thy vision is true and can come about as my children have forsaken me and followed the ways of the world. Forsaking salvation they endevour to succeed by their own strength and cunning. But they forget their soul to their peril and in time become consumed by the fires they thought would protect them."

"Oh no surely Dana there is another path" I pleaded searching her face for an answer. Smiling she looked into my eyes with undying love and offered me the bottle she had just collected my tears in. "Drink and dream true, Heart of my Heart".

Tenderly I took the bottle and gazing with adoration into Dana's eyes drank to the last drop, and slept a peaceful slumber. This time I dreamt a dream of healing and restoration. "Again I was in the land but this time it was a land of sunshine and joy. A place where friend stood by friend and together they built in love. A land without hatred where the light of Dana rang strong and true. A land with no war. no hate, no strife, where Virtue was the coin of the realm, a place of trust, where honour was as common as the sand by the sea, and each man sought the betterment of his fellow man. Where children's laughter rang pure, and where each home was a hearth of love."

I opened my eyes and they were filled with love again, I was restored. My body shone not with sweat but vitality, and my voice resonated with Joy. "Hail my hearts desire"

Dana took me by the hand and led me to the sacred tree-"Hear my daughter from the wellspring of Salvation. The second vision will come to pass when my children heed my voice and live by my ways, casting aside the ways of the world and looking to me alone. But such a path is hazardous because the world shuns the light, instead wanting to live in shadow."

"My hearts desire Dana is to see the fruition of the second vision, for I would rather cast aside my own salvation and place at your side, than see a single child lost to the first."

Dana wept. "Do you pledge yourself to this cause, though it cost you everything, and at times you will be misunderstood and the world will judge you heretical. Are you willing to pay the price of sacrifice, honour and blood. Are you able to stand alone in the dark even should my light appear absent. Do you so pledge High Priestess."

Kneeling before the Goddess Dana I raised my eyes to hers "Aye My Goddess Dana, I so pledge - though the world turn upside down and the path be frought with peril. I so pledge all my being to the fruition of your reign in this land, for in you is salvation and life. Where else shall I go. You alone are My hearts desire, My life, My love, My all"

Dana swept me into her embrace and we danced around the tree of life together with the guardians and those who had travelled beyond the clouds glanced back in awe, wonder, and adoration, for never had one of their own so pledged.
Dana took me down to the eternal river, removed the clothing of High Priestess and wrapped me in clothing that resembkled her own.

Then we stood and as I turned we saw that the rangers had assembled before us. At the forefront stood Lady Caewyn Lady of the Stag, and Lance Danaan Avatar. Dana proclaimed for all to hear "Rangers, Today Talur High Priestess of Dana is no more, rather she has become my daughter and she embarks on a journey of faith which shuold it be accomplished will see my reign extend for eternity within the land."

"But I will not leave the rangers without a leader, I have looked on your hearts and you are all pure and true. Lance I would have you remain as my Avatar for your courage, wisdom and warriors heart is sorely needed" Lance bowed "As always My Lady my life is in your hands".

Dana turned her eyes upon the soul of Caewyn Lady of the Stag, companion to the Avatar. "Lady Caewyn, wherever i travel in the land your name is praised in my honour. You have a heart of compassion, a true vision and you have always heeded my voice, and true to my word. High Priestess you can not be for should my daughter return the title is for her alone, rather I name you Priestess of Dana."

Dana invoked her power and a splay of light enfolded the congreagation present "Caewyn Priestess of Dana, From this day forth your words will be received as my words, and your actions will speak for the rangers" "Do you pledge to be my leader amongst the nations" Lady Caewyn knelt before Dana and proclaimed "I so pledge to serve you with all my being from this day forth"

The Goddess Dana turned to her daughter Talur, and I knew was time to leave. So I turned and farwelled the rangers finally hugging Lance, i whispered "Guard your Lady well, and keep my children safe till we meet again" Then lastly I turned to Lady Caewyn adding my voice to that of Dana's "Hail Priestess of Dana, I know of none other that I would entrust my rangers into the care of. Listen and obey the words of wisdom of my lady, and you will prevail. Until next we meet Go in Dana's Light and may her wisdom and love enfold you and keep you safe"

Turning I saw some rangers crying - Alas shed no tears fro me my rangers. Have you never known me to fail at a task. This proimises to be the most fun I have had for many a season, and in Dana's Time I shall return. Instead today is a day of celebration.

Rejoice in the light of Dana and with a final benediction I knelt before Dana "I am ready my love, teach me your way and set my feet upon your path, There is nothing I desire more than to be in your presence and the light of your salvation" As I finished my aclamation of love, Dana called her power down and wove cords of love around me and a path of light appeared at my feet - so i took my staff and began to walk into her light.

From where the rangers stood it appeared as if i knelt one moment at Dana's feet and the next I was no more. But nothing is ever what it appears for the Goddess Dana knelt and picked up an emerald necklace.

Turning to Lady Caewyn Priestess of Dana she held forth the necklace "Keep this with the sacred stone, it belongs to my daughter Talur. When the time is dark and the need is great. Invoke my power and she will return to the land once more."

The rangers gathered around Lady Caewyn and together journeyed home to a night of celebration.
