Subject: I know you don't want to but...

Alright guys, this is your last chance. The problem that was holding up the TDR scenario has now been fixed and that means that the scenario will be taking place not this coming weekend but the next weekend. (possibly :)) This is the scenario for which character roleplaying profiles would be extremely useful that I was on about a while ago. Nobody has responded so in order to encourage you, I will write a story involving the first character to have a roleplaying profile posted on this msg-board. I will probably be writing other stories too (depends on how quickly/if the profiles get posted) and these will be written about the next earliest characters to post profiles. There may be stories incorporating multiple characters if I get a lot.

A roleplaying profile should include things like:
your characters demeanor under different circumstances. (eg. calm under fire, jovial amongst friends, careful when sharpening big axes)

Good traits/bad traits (eg. short-tempered, compassionate, able to swing big axes)

any topics of particular interest to the character, (eg. love stories, history, big axes)

opinions on general issues (eg. magic, government, how good big axes are)

and so forth and so on. The idea is that other people get a feel for who your character is, rather than who the person playing the character is. eg. to date Pugs is pretty much me, err.. Pugs :) But soon there will be times when I will roleplay Pugs, the character, rather than just talking to other players through Pugs, my character.

If, however, this new tactic of mine also fails to generate interest, I shall take the hint and assume TDR is not interested in any roleplaying oriented hunts and I shall never raise it again. Instead of the roleplaying hunt, I will write a story to fill in the storyline and the next hunt we'll get back into the hack and slash and/or puzzle hunts.

btw, my UO is stuffed atm (surprise! surprise!) only this time a simple re-install hasn't seemed to fix it. I'm hoping, (like I usually do when re-installing doesn't work) that the problem will fix itself over the next couple of days. So if you need a rez over the next couple of days... sorry.
