Subject: Thief of Virtue... final chapter

Morningstar's apprentice, Mawn, had delivered disturbing news: A balron possessed the Avatar's anke. The party took the news relatively well. Lassie and Caleb von Drayn laughed the problem off with false bravado, Velor Farwalker had gone unusually quiet and Caewyn was frowning in annoyance at a blank space in her diary. Cravert had turned slightly pale while beside him, Lance and Miriel exchanged grim looks.

After a while Lance spoke, "It's possible we won't have to kill the balrog. It may be that the anke is kept safely somewhere nearby."

"Yes, but we'll still probably have to fight the thing, it's not going to leave the anke unguarded," Caleb looked as if he had bitten into something nasty.

"Maybe some of us can divert the balron's attention while others search for the anke?" Cravert didn't sound too hopeful.

A period of silence followed in which more uneasy glances were exchanged. I spoke up. "Well, I suggest we all think on it. We need to know how many are planning to attend in order to form an effective strategy anyway."

This weekend's hunt concludes the Thief of Virtue scenario. The plan is to work our way from the entrance of Hythloth down to the balron where we will attempt to slay the fell beast and hopefully recover the lost anke.

Any suggestions on how we might go about this task once we reach the balron level would be welcome posts in reply to this message :). Also, if you plan to attend, please reply to this message with a "thumbs up" icon.

have fun,
Pugs

PS. The Night's Watch and Clan Fianna will also be invited to this hunt, as the more players participating the better :)
