Before the internet
existed only journals and parties.
The journals ranged from community colleges
to national syndicates.
The parties, well they ranged and ranged.
Sometimes the two collided, but that is a consequence
for another page.

Just a small foot note
I spent all of my notems
those literary totems
fragmented transcendentalisms
loaded scripted ball sacks
when I was an apostle.
Following an order
anarchy maybe
but headlong to obscurity.

Since then I've changed my pitch-up,
and twenty years now,
bands have come and gone,
the journals lost their creed,
but I meta-merged
and for every trochee
you read from me
theres a golden rope
something the foot can hang on to.
