Having heard the whole conversation hidden in the shadows outside the room, after hearing the thud as the bird hits the ground, he slinks in the room very quickly, and snatches the bird, his arm snakelike. "Now we're going to leave right now, without any trouble." While Alanna was still recovering from the shock, he quickly ran out of the room, and out of the Hotel.
