Dear Leo

Don't be upset for fail the exam. The meaning of education is how much you learn and should not be emphasised on how much marks you scored. Though it is a general belief that passing the exam means you are successful and failing the exam. means that you are not studying enough. If you have difficulty in picking up the contents of the study, ask your tutor or friends. Maybe there are some points that you missed out and you did not score the marks at the exam.

If part-time job made you short of time to study - drop it. If you see it as a social time to mix your friends since they ae working part-time - do arrange well for your study. Two-timing does not help you to concentrate on one thing, then better drop one thing and concentrate on the most important one.

One subject is as difficult as others. Don't give up or lose confidence for being failed one exam. There is no way that people can escape from being not failing sometimes.

When you failed in the exam. Think it over why you did not get it passed. Not study enough, difficult to understand or not interested in the subject any more. I know how bad you feel when the other classmates passed and you didn't. What I can to is to encourage you study, study and study. You have to accept the fact that you need more time to study than others because you were born with very mild learning difficulty. Depends how you face it and how you tak it. If you accept that you always lose, then you will never succeed. If you try (like the first year you studied at VTC - how difficult it was, but you got thru). you will succeed eventually (maybe just take a little bit longer time to achieve it - that is no big deal).

The Chinese saying "Failure is the mother of success". Even you don't succeed after you try, at least you try your best.

I believe that you must be feeling down, frustrated and helpless for a few days. Nevermind, after several days, when you think it over or overcome the bad feeling. You know what to do.

Ring me if you want to get someone to talk. I am always on your side.

Life is beautiful especially when you are young. Mum didn't go to university but still survive happily.

Fail is not the end of the World. Believe me.
