More of a genius than you, Junior.

So OZls1 you concede that your claim "Holden which have been making 300hp rwd muscle cars for the last 25 years.." is derived more from your pubescent fantasies, rather than based on fact?

Or do you? ... I'm trying to make sense of your rambling post.

Here goes!

>"Good one Genius, like you said the gap between the HG
>with 300hp was in the later 70s a brigade of Toranas
>L31-L34 SLR 5000 made for bathurst"

240hp L31's were not "made for bathurst" - This is merely the 308 V8 engine code. The 1974 homologation-special L34's in street trim were no faster than L31's. Neither made anywhere near 300hp. Both btw were about half a second slower through the 1/4 mile than final 6cyl XU-1's. I was at Bathurst to watch the factory L34's disintegrate down Conrod that year - they lost to Ford.

>"then in the 80s was
>brocks efforts with HDT commodores they may havn't
>been 300hp but 250hp"

Having myself owned the most powerful HDT Commodore model, a new VK 'Brock' Group A, I know you're guessing again. These optimisticly claimed 196kw (approx 262hp) .. still a long way short of 300hp

>"when GM and Ford were toying with
>170-220hp camaros and mustangs who both came to
>bathurst with big names driving them but course the
>commodore won. Then holden special vehicals came and
>the VL SS group A road car 5 speed big brakes 260hp
>dual throttle body and later won bathurst 1990 against
>the R32 skyline GTRs sierras etc."

Still no 300hp Holden ... ZZzzzz

>"Then came the
>commodore GTS/R and the rest is history..........."

History tells me (despite how you weally weally wish there were) that NO 300hp vehicles badged as 'Holden' were retailed between 1971 'HG' Monaro 350 through to 2001 VX Commodore V8.

>"Holden told Detroit to leave it alone and look who is
>the most successful and motorsport driven part of
>GM.............HOLDEN"

Get it straight! Holden is OWNED by GM .. they tell them nothing, merely ask. If generous GM/Detroit hadn't donated about half a BILLION dollars for working capitol and to retire debt to then-technically bankrupt Holden in 1984, as well as replacing incompetent local management with the genial American Chuck Chapman to M/D, Holden might not have survived.

OZls1 .. it is with an expectant sense of both awe and dread that I await your next inaccurate and facile post ..
