first off... what kind of transmission do you have? if it's a 200/700 r4 or lockup th350 you will need to do something with them... i'll explain this in a minute.

the computer controled carb has effects on more than just the carb itself. the computer relies on feedback (so to speak) from the carb. so if that feedback isn't there the rest of the computer will have troubles trying to figure what to make of it. so here is all that's needed to do it right.

a carb of course. and a distributer. that's about it. like i said if you have one of those transmissions you will need to find some way to make the torque converter lock up, if not the life of the trans will be somewhat short. but if you have a regular th350, don't worry about it.

i wrote something about this in the articles elsewhere on this site. i can't remember just where exactly it is, but poke around in the articles. i think it's in the third gen article http://c6firebird.freeservers.com/3rdgen1.html

if you have any questions about this feel free to e-mail me and i'll help if i can. or just keep posting here, someone will help you.

-Matt
