Why Don't you go to holden.com.au and have a look, there is always the HSV version with the 300kw engine. By the way, the Corvette is a step down from the Monaro

I dont think you need to be worried in the slightest, Holden is the only GM division left that builds rear wheel drive cars and it certainly knows how to do it. If you look at the performance of the Monaro you will be quietly surprised. What Pontiac fans should be more concerned with is trying to rebuild a reputation that was tarnished through front drive cars. As for performing as well as the vette, this is truly possible, although do you seriously believe that GM will allow a pontiac branded vehicle to beat its flagship sports car? The Monaro will most likely be restricted to perform a tick below the performance of a vette.
Get used to this model car as well, word has it that the next Impala will be Australian sourced, once again being rear wheel drive.
