So all those years that the RLDS told people that they were the real LDS church founded in 1830, they were lying?

How much longer will it be before the CofC suddenly starts telling people that Jesus wasn't "the Way, the Truth, and the Life," but that he was just lying, too? And all that stuff about this being "Jesus' church" instead of Joseph Smith, Jr.'s or Joseph Smith, III's is a lot of hooey, too, if we are to take this statement at face value.

I cannot believe the depths of depravity to which the CofC leadership is willing to sink to get what it wants.

Like the Victorian rake who wants to marry an heiress -- tell her whatever you have to tell her to get her to the altar, but get her there. Afterwards, it doesn't matter what she thinks.
