Ah, but Lois, the scripture that you quoted is obsolete scripture from the D&C. Nothing in the Inspired Version, (or the standard Bible, for that matter) or the Book of Mormon, or in the preSection 156 D&C is of any value for anything other than inspirational reading -- sort of like the book of Judith or Tobit.

If you want to get the "real truth," you must not read a scripture that says, "the glory of God is intelligence." Current CofC doctrine (and the latest fad is always the best) is:
The glory of God is the intelligence of the hierophants, and the glory of the hierophants is the stupidity of their followers.

From what I see and hear stated authoritatively in the CofC, I conclude taht Joseph Smith, Jr. got the message wrong the first time, but in this postChristian world, God can get through more clearly. That's why suddenly, after all these millenia, the CofC has instantly discovered that homosexuality is actually a blessed state.

The insinuation is that St. Paul, St. John, and St. Jude were either dimwitted, or smoking something when they wrote the New Testament. That's why I wonder that the CofC quotes the New Testament so much to outsiders. After all, the outsiders already have the New Testament, but the CofC has the D&C, which has finally spelled out in its post Section 156 pages what God was trying to say all those years when he was talking to the idiots who thought homosexuality was a sin.
