Subject: Truth or misdirection?

I am going to show you how someone can tell the truth and a lie all at the same time.

Priesthood members in the United States have been responding to the invitations they are receiving in the mail from President Steve Veazey to consider increasing their giving to World Ministries by $10 or more a week.
------

Of course from this quote you would think that everything is coming up roses. The priesthood members are responding.

How are they responding? That is the question that is not answered.

Are they saying, "Hell no! I'm not giving you an extra $10 as long as you are ruining the church."?

Are they saying, "Uncle!!! I don't want to lose my priesthood card."?

What percentages of them have responded?

If you word things carefully you can make weak minded people think whatever you want them to think.

Steve Veazey says it again, "Another nonnegotiable for me is priesthood support of World Ministries Mission Tithes.
Soon, we will put in place an administrative policy that will state clearly that we will not approve
the ordinations of people whose understanding of the gospel and ordained ministry does not
include awareness and support of the worldwide ministries of the church through tithing. We’ve
had way too much drift in local congregations and mission centers on this matter."
