Lois, the internet is a dream come true for these folks. You see, information can get out through the internet, but by the same token, anything on the internet can be "scrubbed" and got rid of rather quickly.

Here is an Associated Press release from 2004, when Mr. Obama was running for Senator. (The only reason that he won was because the incumbent was pretty much taken out by a sex scandal. God's people have to keep themselves clean, or suffer the consequences as well.)

Kenyan-born Obama all set for US Senate

Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.
The Republican choice will become an instant underdog in the campaign for the seat of retiring Republican Senator Peter Fitzgerald, since Obama held a wide lead even before the scandal broke.

“I feel for him actually,” Obama told a Chicago TV station. “What he’s gone through over the last three days I think is something you wouldn’t wish on anybody.”

The Republican state committee must now choose a replacement for Ryan, who had won in the primaries against seven contenders. Its task is complicated by the fact that Obama holds a comfortable lead in the polls and is widely regarded as a rising Democratic star.

And, of course, this is going on right in front of our noses. Apparently someone has some kind of "Force" that they can use to influence weak minds to tell them that this stuff doesn't exist.

Since the Community of Christ is nothing more than a political action committee hiding behind the empty shell of a dead (but tax-exempt) church, it's history and current affairs parallel political affairs in this country.

I had a nightmare last night that made me realize one thing:

The first and foremost principle of liberalism is the necessity of making war on one's own people. And that is exactly what the liberals have been doing. By the end of this year, we may see war break out beyond the propaganda sphere, and a lot of people are going to be sorry.

God's people are going to be hunted down like dogs. The Book of Mormon may not be literally true in a sense of past history, but it is certainly prophetic. Fall away from God and your enemies will make date cakes out of you. It has only taken 50 years to get the mechanism in place, and it won't be long before it is "hooked up and running." The Community of Christ has not been the main engine behind it, certainly, because of its puny size, but it has eagerly participated.

Of course, people who disbelieve are probably people who think that the title of Sinclair Lewis' book, "It Can't Happen Here," was the stated opinion of the author, rather than irony. It's the reading comprehension thing again.

George
