I gave that as example of the sort of delusional thinking exhibited by the elitist liberal mind today. In many cases, illegitimate children bear witness to the wrongdoing of the parents. Like the mafia, they reason that the best way to deal with this is to kill the witness in order to escape prosecution, rather than a) avoid the crime in the first place, or b) own up to what they have done.

This is the same mental process that the Community of Christ movers and shakers are going through. They reason that homosexuals are "bruised and brokenhearted" because they do not fit into society, and because society has rejected them due to the teachings of the church founded by Jesus Christ. Rather than minister to the homosexuals and help them repent of what has separated them from full communion with God, Jesus Christ, and the church, the Community of Christ has decided that God, Jesus, the church, and society are the problem and has told God to repent of his commandments, Jesus to repent of saying that he has the power to break the power of sin and heal all separation from God, the church to repent of teaching what God and Jesus said, and society to repent of following it.

Since the church witnesses to the healing power of Jesus Christ for all sinners, including homosexuals, this action of the Community of Christ is rather like the rationale for abortion: going after the witnesses.
