Mamusz, my take on this is that the Community of Christ basically believes that the Bible sucks, but that the CofC has to pretend to like it in order to get into the club. Kind of like an sophomore high school girl pretending to like a dorky Senior so that she can get into the prom as his date. (I'm not knocking the female sex, here, folks. If the dork could pretend not to be a dork, he'd probably do that, but, alas, it is not possible.)

The great paradox that the situation always returns to is that, if the Bible sucks and can't be relied on for anything definite, why does the Community of Christ like Jesus so much? After all, pretty much the only thing we know about Jesus is in the Bible.

George
