Mamusz, do you think that John will actually answer your question? The CofC conatantly claims that Jesus is the real boss of the outfit, but when they say that there are ways to salvation other than Jesus, and say that Jesus' "monopoly on salvation is over," they are making an end run around their own boss. Or is he really their boss? Maybe they declared him "God Emeritus" and hired a new god to be their CEO, one that is more flexible.

The quotes from Jesus are "I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me." The committee posted a quote from a biblical apostle to knock down when it is really Jesus' very own proclamation that they hate and despise.

I guess more to the point would be asking John how the CofC can worship a God that it can't stand? CofC leaders and academics constantly point out that having Jesus as their Lord and Savior is as uncomfortable for them as being married to Rush Limbaugh would be for Jane Fonda.
