I looked at the list of "former Mormons" on Wikipedia. There was also a list of the excommunicated of the LDS church.

Below that was a list of the known excommunicated members of the Community of Christ, (as reported by Wikipedia users, who do not have access to the rolls of the church.)

There were only two names on the excommunicated list from the Community of Christ. Jeffrey Lundgren and Richard Price.

When I make an analogy of approval of homosexuality as being as insane as approving bank robbery, I am told that "it's not the same," and "homosexuality is a victimless crime/sin."

But looking at the entry in Wikipedia made me realize:

Disagreeing with the Community of Christ leadership about doctrinal matters, especially when defending the original doctrines of the church against apostate reforms, is considered by the CofC liberals to be as bad as murder. Why else would the two excommunicants listed be on one side a gross murderer, and the other side a priest who merely had a disagreement with HDQ? Why would there be any mere dissenters at all in this category?

So, as far as I am concerned, anyone who uses the analogy of approving of crime to help other people understand how crazy it is to institutionalize the practice of homosexuality is in good company. After all, the leadership of the Community of Christ not only considers anyone who disagrees with it to be equal to a murderer -- it actually treats them like one.

So I can't say the CofC is as bad as I am. It's a great deal worse than I am. After all, an intellectual exercise of making an analogy between homosexuality and bank robbery is not the same thing as actually arresting a homosexual and throwing him in jail next to Machine Gun Kelly. The CofC doesn't engage in intellectual exercises. If you disagree with it, it treats you the same way it treats a murderer.
