Common knowledge? O.K. I'll provide an example I know of. Brigham Young, infamous to Reorganized Latter Day Saints, lived like a king. My husband and I toured his house in Salt Lake City. His house was beautiful and spectacular by any standards. Next door to that house was the house for all his wives. They didn't give tours of that one. In my mind I always likened that one to cow stalls, since basically that's what the women were there for, to service the bull. And also to bind their families to Brigham's authority.

You are right. There are still segments of the church who will always cheat the members. That will be true until Christ cleans up the mess.
