We have all heard that the liberalization of our culture now makes "diversity" possible. In other words, the claim is made that the individual can make any choice he feels is right, and society and the state and the postChristian church must "affirm" that choice.

This is, of course, not so.

The agenda of liberalism is to promote the destruction of the family. Thus, if one chooses to be a homosexual, or chooses to raise a child out of wedlock as a single parent, or wants to raise a child in a same-sex partnership, or decides upon infanticide as a way to maintain their lifestyle, the liberals say: Go for it.

However, for the young woman pregnant out of wedlock, the liberals do not offer the choice of giving the baby up for adoption so that the child will be raised in a stable family with a Christian mother and father and siblings. Hell, no! The choices are rather undiverse. It's either kill the baby at the abortion clinic, or raise it without benefit of a male parent. Give up the child? Abomination! I spoke to such a young woman today. She works for Scottish Presbyterians who are not angry with her for being pregnant out of wedlock. They are angry, and their feelings toward her have clouded because she has already arranged an adoption for the baby into a Christian home.

However, the postChristian churches are so busy trashing the Bible and orthodox Christianity to make sure that homosexuals feel good about themselves that they have no time to solace a pregnant woman who is giving her baby up for adoption.

Does the Communitarian Church (Community of Christ) sponsor any programs to facilitate adoptions? Just because the CofC promotes and celebrates the active practice of homosexuality in the church does not automatically mean that the CofC is part of the group that hates families. Not having statistics in this area means that it is not readily apparent "where the rubber meets the road" in this area.

The politically correct crowd believes that it is a far, far better thing that a million young women be sobbing in tears due to politically correct intimidation and derision than that a single homosexual feel "less than."

Tell me, someone who knows -- does the CofC sponsor a home for unwed mothers? Does it help sponsor adoptions of babies into stable homes with both mothers and fathers? I see no apostolic pronouncements as to the urgency of such matters.
