You know, Lois, I have said that the Community of Christ is becoming more and more analogous to the LDS Church every day. This "covenent agreement" on secret meetings is like becoming a "Temple Mormon." The ordinary rank and file Mormons are not considered "good enough" to participate in the Temple rites, so all that is "sacred, not secret." If that's not an appropriate comparison, then a communist cell would be nicely analogous to it.

I'm sure that when the tobacco companies were trying to figure out how to convince the public that tobacco isn't addictive or carcinogenic (while at the same time discussing means to breed more addictive forms of the stuff) that they wanted their meetings secret, too. Subpoenas pretty much broke that secret.
