To a liberal brainwashed by a cult taken over by a political group, anything not approved by the group is funny. If you don't believe that, check out Roger's and Hammerstein's "The King and I," and pay special attention to what the chldren are being taught about the neighboring kingdom of Burma.

The children were taught that Burma was a miniscule country like San Marino, and that its king was so poor that he was naked. That's what the CofC teaches children about God: The poor, naked creator of the universe cannot save a homosexual and make him normal again. Such a feat is beyond the power of the God of CofC theology. That's why your schoolmasters in the CofC have such an antipathy to St. Paul. The God Paul worshiped on earth and worships in heaven could do that, and has done it, many times. And he still does. The CofC just chooses not to worship him.

That's why your situation isn't funny to me, John. At least those weeping for Jesus, (although he told them they should weep for themselves instead,) knew they should be weeping instead of laughing.

George
